this details the difference between the point of view that miracles can and do happen, and that they cannot.

I personally believe (obviously) that they do.

Do think people other than Jesus have healing powers? I do. But I call them doctors, and they use things like medicine... you know? You can't just touch someone. That doesn't DO anything.

Christians believe that God can does bypass medicine and grant miraculous healing. People at the church I used to attend have had it happen to them.

The Church has always believed in miraculous healing. Our God generally refrains from actively revealing Himself in this world, but sometimes He does indeed demonstrate His power.

You can have lasers but only if you sacrifice your manhood for the Church.

Hmm.. The ability to fire sperm, or the ability to fire lasers?

Lasers would let me take out my teen angst on girls when they reject me and im sad and I listen to simple plan and its not so awesome but then id have lasers and I could make my house explode.

Can I have laser sperm?

Ok. I'll trade my balls for a light saber cock. Deal. Glory be to god.

olz. Seriously we really do gotta watch our words. This reminds me of the time that a well known minister (I believe it was either Norvel Hayes or Lester Sumrall--Can't remember...) Laid hands on a man who had NO EYES. His eyes were burned out because of a work related accident. Somehow acid had escaped in the air and melted his eyes out of their sockets. So this minister laid hands on him and commanded his sight to return! Which it did--But he STILL had no eyes! Doctors were baffled that this man could see but had no eyes! The minister realized that he prayed for SIGHT TO RETURN, but not his EYES to form back to normal. So yes--Your words ARE important
