Why not just make the Thor hit harder over a larger area. That is, make Siege Tanks mobile precision artillery and Thor just area decimation. The Thor could fire many rounds at once, have a large...

My opinion of the current Terran build is at an all time low. When I first saw the Terran months ago I loved it. However, I’ve seen changes that I haven’t really enjoyed recently. I play Terran in...

I understand that, but without Cerebrates to maintain control over the ever-growing Swarm it would limit the size that the Zerg could grow to. To meet the need for control over the Swarm, they made...

Not quite sure what the problem is with the Queen. She does seem a little bit like a hero, but it's rather similar to the Cerebrate which was REQUIRED to have the Zerg Broods function if you take the...

The Firebat

I can't express fully how much the Firebat's return disappoints me. I've always felt that the Firebat was a unit not worth building, that it was useless. People say they needed them to fulfill the...

Re: BE HEARD! Sept Discussion Topic: The Mothership

*Do you think the Protoss Mothership should be a unique unit (1 per player maximum) or should you be able to build more than one? Why?

Should be unique, in other only one on a map per player at...

Re: Backstabbing and Unally Must Remain in SC2

Backstabbing was great for messing up 7vs1 comp stomps. I hate being backstabbed and I don't do it often. However, I believe it should remain. Not only did it allow for flavor, it allowed for a true...

Re: (Suggestion) Reapers with Flamethrowers

Should've just called their twin pistols, Dual Bolt Pistols. Most people would figure out the reference. Anyways, no fire. I think the the new Terran aren't supposed to have melee. The reactor helps...

Re: About the Carrier

Carriers need to be change. They are way to powerful, for the most part. They had their weaknesses, but they don't work towards the hard counter idea. Tempest did work towards hard counters, the...

Zealots, Stalkers, Immortals will all probably do well against the Thor. Zealot Charge the range gap to surrond Thor and cut into it. Stalker blink and walk around it. Immortals can probably just...

Okay, first off, great post. However, I disagree with a few things. First thing is here about versatility and adaptation. How does the choice between the Yamato cannon and Plasma torpedo not...

God, please no mutliple interceptor types. Blizzards wants people to build mixed forces, not just massing carriers, each specially outfitted to kill a certain type of enemy.

Re: The Twighlight Archon's Look. Yes or No?

Re: Come on... Shurikens?

I think Blizzard probably wants you to build all three together. Tempests to take out defensive structures and units, WarpRays to break stuff, and Pheonixs to protect them.

And, yes, Tony Hsu...

I think that, while not fitting with the Protoss name sets, the Pheonix is very fitting for the unit itself. The bird itself is said to die in a fire, and from the ashes a newborn arises. Well the...

Tempests are DT technology, thus explain not only the melee interceptors but the color scheme as well. The Carriers, as they were in SC, were overpowered. Carriers were broken. The problem was that...

Re: Ghost's ability to "marine drop"

I think it fits Terran fine. Terran are the middle of the road, which is funny when you think about it, and should get some tiny blending. It makes most sense for a Ghost to use.

People with sigs...

Its a tabletop strategy game. You roll dice and use little rulers to move troops around. And fyi, you can rip-off ideas from something outside the gaming genre, especially if they come from the same...

Re: If they put this in, I'm not playing! Riiiiight

Don't get me wrong, I love SC. Just tired of people treating it as the pinnacle of original RTS games. Personally, I like Company of Heroes way better mainly due to it realism.

Didn't have to ripoff an RTS. Most of their ideas came straight from Warhammer40k. Terran - Space Marines, Protoss - Eldar, Zerg - Tyranid.

Firebat-SpaceMarine+Flamer...

In my opinion, Smart-casting is a double-edged sword for newbs. First it helps them emulate pros, but then if they are stupid enough to keep their forces grouped up it gets used against them. I say...
